Mark and I went over to my Mom's on Saturday to see if she had a Rite-aid ad...she didn't. Anyways, when we were about to leave to go grocery shopping Ken and the girls came home. Kristy let us in on a little secret they were keeping from Mom..."Daddy is going to let us get a kitten, but don't tell Mom" were her words. She told us the pet store was closed so they couldn't get on today. Then, Mark spoke up and said "I know someone who has kittens." He wouldn't tell me because I want one, and my dad would kick his butt if he told me where they were. Of course, I got it out of him. My Aunt Marj had kittens! So, we went grocery shopping and when we got back, we went to my Aunt Marj's to pick one up. I called Ken to see which one he wanted (a calico or an orange one)...he couldn't decide. So, I was bringing both to let them choose one and we would bring the other back.
Do you think that when I brought two adorable kittens over, they would only be able to choose one? Nope! Now, they have 2 new kittens. An orange, fluffy, playful boy named "Baby" by Alex, and a calico, fluffy, shy girl named "Smokey" by Kristy. Well, when my mom got home, boy was she suprised! She decided to let them be indoor cats...lol (BTW Ken is allergic)... It was really funny...
Later that night, we went shopping at Wal-Mart for all the things little kittens need: food, food/water bowls (they each got their own), cat litter, and a scratching post/play tower.
Mark and I went back over to my Mom's to play with the kittens and their new toy. We made toys for them by tying things to the ends of shoe strings.
Baby was very playful, but Smokey was very timid. It was really loud, and I think Kristina scared her. She did like to cuddle in the cuddle blankets though.

mmmm..will this mean you'll visit your mom more often? Good thinking on Lisa's part then, letting the kittens stay. They are adorable and I know you've wanted a kitten for a while now. Well kittens are like having children, it's better when you can just visit them and not have to change their litter box LOL. love aunt DEE
