So, there isn't much happening in our lives lately... We went to Indiana for Christmas... Had tons of fun with the nieces and nephews... Not so much fun driving there... The 3.5 hour trip turned into 5.5 hrs because of the storm... bah humbug lol... Other than that, we have been working working and more working... Although, we were able to squeeze in some shopping last night... Got some new boots! EMU wool mmm warm! I <3>

So far, I like working at the Classic diner better. For one, George is much more appreciative and professional. For two, the hours are better... DAYS! Although, it has only taken me a couple months to learn about all the other girls... lazy, good, annoying, nice, mean, etc... It's definitely past my bed time... lol...

I think we will be buying a new digital camera sometime soon... After we look through our boxes and can't find the current one. lol...

We are settling into our little home nicely. Haven't unpacked everything lol... We finally bought some paint for the hideous bathroom... it is a light blue color... We are trying to figure out where to put all our clothes... There isn't enough closet nor cupboard space here...

Sascha is doing well... She is already over 50 lbs... I don't feel like weighing her right now, it is a hassle... and she is heavy lol... so, you don't get an exact figure... We are planning on getting her into some kind of training... We want her to have her basic obedience commands down, and then we will move into Schutzhund probably... Still haven't registered her yet... I still need the copies of the paperwork from the breeder. UGH!

So, we have been with out internet for awhile... and been very busy... Both of us have been working FULL time... I know, me work full time... what was I thinking? Oh yeah, it's GOOD money waitressing 30+ hrs a week. LOL...


So last time we left off, my friend passed away. I'm still not over that. It's a hard thing to deal with. But more drama has insued in the adventureous life of Michelle & Mark. We were witnesses to an armed robbery!!! HOLY SHIT DUDE! Oh, and today at work I sprained my thumb...

I really don't have time to blog that much anymore... I have so much to say... but no time to say it lol... my thumb hurts so I guess I'll post this for now... lol... Oh, and if anyone wanted to know, we found out that Ashley had no alcohol in her system when she died. I still think about her and the whole situation all the time... ::sigh::

So, I wanted to write a blog... and I don't really have any new pics... so, I went through and picked out some that I never posted... Make sure you read along, there will be a quiz at the end... haha! (I'm in that back to school mode... blah!)

A double rainbow over the house on aug 10 (apparently)... you can't really tell it's double here... but it was... So, now that you've looked at the pictures, I can tell my story... I don't really have one... I like to make it up as I go along... Well, school started last week... and I'm already taking xanax lol... 2 more years of this... geez! Can I have a break yet? 2 years is going to turn into 3...4...5 lol... idk what it is about school that stresses me out... maybe b/c I just want it to be OVER already! I'm sick of working at MEGA... I'm so ready to be done there... But we need the $... (since wal*mart obviously doesn't pay mark enough...) As soon as I have 90 credits, I will be out of Mega so fast and sub teaching... Hell, if I end up liking that... I may get into teaching... I'll be an actuary later... lol... Did you know that after T years they forgive x% of student loans?! How cool is that!? (Obviously, being an actuary is meant to be if in my sentences I use variables lol) Anyways...
We have given up looking for a house... to buy at least... we figure we will just rent for now, until we decide where we want to be after I graduate. (If I'm going into teaching, I'm moving to Texas... Did you hear that teachers there can now carry!!! Hell yeah!) Wow... that was spontaneous... So, if anyone would like to help us look for rentals...

I've found our HOME!

I found a PERFECT home for Mark and I! A little problem... It is in FLINT... So, I have to convince Mark it is PERFECT! LOL...

Is anyone familiar with the good/bad parts of Flint?? It is near Riverside Park, off Branch Rd just north of Pierson Rd. So, is that a "GOOD" part of Flint? Pleeeeeeease say YES! LOL...

Adventuring has been SLOW...

Other than that, we have not seen houses yet... only online lol... I've got to get off my butt and make some appointments for showings... Anyone wanna come with us when we go??

I've found a few dogs I like... not 8wk old puppies, but oh well... you can't be too picky... I found a girl in OH on petfinder, but I'm not sure if the shelter still has her. Then, I found a few on craigslist that I've contacted the people about... hopefully I'll find "the one" by the time I find a house. LOL...

Hmmm... other than that, we haven't been doing much except the usual working... BLAH! Mark and I are so sick of our jobs... Wal*Mart has a bunch of hypocritical managers and Mega just has a child for the manager, and cooks, and busser... LOL Will we ever find a place that we LOVE?? Probably not... But we are looking for other jobs... me a different one and mark a 2nd part time one... I would like something where I can be off my feet and Mark ...well, idk what he wants... LOL... So, keep your eyes open for jobs that sound like us! THANKS!

Okay, so when Tracy comes home, there is a LOT of plans lol... Cedar Point, Pine Knob (or DTE to you younger kids lol), ummm okay so not a LOT yet... but that is a lot of planning ahead for this family... haha

If I knew where my SD adapter for my phone is, I could upload my pics from the concert... but I can't find the box... that's what we get for cramming a 1br apt worth of stuff into about a 10' x 20' space... oops... Sorry about the scattered thoughts... tis how my mind works at 630am with no sleep yet... haha...

OH YEAH... If anyone has or finds a cheap tire size 185/65R/14, we NEED one! When Mark came to Mega for Me, I was like WTF? The tire is flat... turns out there is a bald patch on it... We want all 4 new ones, but we are just settling for one cheap one for now... then in the winter we will replace them all with winter tires... so, keep your other eye out for tires... one for jobs and one for tires... haha...

houses...puppies...life...oh my!

We have been trying to decide if we want to move into an apartment or a house... Finally, we've decided a house...seeing that I'm going to school forever now LOL and the market is good for buyers right now... sorry sellers!

If anyone wants to come with us when we start looking, let us know! We would be glad to get others' opinions of our houses we've picked as prospects. So far, we have looked at houses on like 5 different websites: yahoo, century21, remax, prudential, ummm realtors.com... maybe more but idk... I'm starting to get sick of looking at the same ones over again. LOL

Here is what we want in a house: 2-4 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, basement(preferrably finished), appliances, 800-2000 square feet, garage(not necessary, but would be nice), remodeled, stick built(NOT manufactured!)...oh and under $80K... oops I'm forgetting the most important part...NOT IN FLINT! Here are okay cities: Grand Blanc, Burton, Fenton, Linden, Swartz Creek, Mundy Twp, Davison, Durand, but NOT FLINT! LOL... we don't really want to be associated with that city...

So, if you happen to see one that meets our criteria, let us know! Or if you know a good realtor that can point us in the right direction, give us a name.

We are also looking for a GSD puppy, well at least I am looking, Mark still needs convincing lol... I want to get into Schutzhund training and competitions... My dog will be SMART and will kick your ass if you try to break in my NEW house! LOL... I've found a few prospective breeders. I want to be able to register my dog so that she can actually compete... no "MUTS" please...

I'm also job hunting... My ankle is getting so bad that, I can barely walk up and down stairs... it really blows! So, I'm searching for a job with less foot work but same pay... good luck, right? LOL I've applied for a few medical receptionist jobs... gets me into medical field and insurance field kinda at the same time... so we will see...

Well, I am back to working on my feet for now... gotta pay the bills somehow... stupid bills... Come and see me sometime! My schedule is all over the place but Friday and Sunday this weekend... will know next week on sunday... maybe i'll add a little "days im working" box in my blog... check it out! Oh yeah, for those who didn't know...I highlighted my hair blonde... thinking about making my whole head blonde... not sure though... I also need my bangs cut... my hair grows WAY too fast!

Finding myself...

You know the expression...

"College is for finding yourself...who you are... BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

Well, finding myself ... not so EZ...

So far I've figured out that...

1. I wanted to save the environment... It's hard to save the environment when you are only one person. And I kinda don't really care anymore... The economy is so bad, that my environmental mindset has become economical... IE--> Yeah, I drive a Honda...but not to save the environment, to save my WALLET!
2. I learned how to eat good stuff... The downfall is that I live in a +/-300 sq ft basement and don't have my own kitchen... therefore, I don't cook all that often... someone buy me a kitchen for my basement LOL
3. I found out that going to school for 16 years straight kinda blows... I only have... forever left! LESSON: TAKE A YEAR OFF BETWEEN HS AND COLLEGE!!! take your time and don't try to rush everything! You can't plan it all!
4. I realized that I still want to be a doctor... and what have I been going to school for 3 years for? to be an actuary! WTF?!
5. I realized that the first 3 years of undergrad have taught me NOTHING about being an actuary... I am in NO way prepared for the "real world"... again WTF?!
6. Oh yeah, guess what else "finding myself" has gotten me... Xanax and Zoloft... fun, huh?
7. This one is a secret... LOL
8. I want to get the F out of Michigan... the only good part is my family is here... SO, who's coming with me!?
9. I'm going to be working at MEGA for the rest of my life since I can't decide on a career path.
10. I am still an overachiever and procrastinator... not a good combination... How do you overachieve while procrastinating... go to school for 3 years for something you love, but not what you want to TRULY do...
11. I've also learned that BEER gives me hangovers... liquor on the other hand... just right... lol

I wonder how many more things I'll discover while "figuring out who I am"... Just though I'd share my soul searching with you... This has been an "adventure" of Michelle... no Mark... sorry to all that look forward to his involvement in the adventures...LOL

Party ALL night LONG!

So, I got my MRI results on Wednesday. The verdict is in, and I have a bruised bone! What? That can happen... I guess... IDK how that happened...

We have had a couple bonfires... Wednesday and Thursday night... Probably more to come... so, if you want to, come over... BYOB (I've had enough lol so I'm not buying/drinking anymore LOL) I have a few battle wounds... Damn quad and swamp... oh, and too many beers... oops!

Let me know what everyone has planned for the next week... I'm thinking about having something on Tuesday/Wednesday for Alisha's bday... How are those days for everyone? Probably a little pot luck thing... I'll find out which day as soon as I get my schedule for next week... CIAO!

Ha! So I have pictures on my camera, but I don't know what I did with it... So, until I find it, I'll let you use your imagination... lol

The body shop estimates $3200+ in damages and will take a week and a half to fix.... BUT we get a FREE loaner! How awesome is that!? LOL...

Ummm... so I haven't gotten my results back on the MRI yet... maybe another day or two... idk... I had it on Saturday and it takes 3-5 Business days for the doctor to get it... so maybe not until Friday... BLAH!

Oh yeah, Alisha is HOME! Mark and I picked her up from the airport on Sunday morning and drove to Alex's wakeboarding competition to surprise Mom. She started crying when she saw her! It was great... The best part was that my mom invited me to the competition (which started at 9AM)... and I told her 'I probably won't be awake until 11 or 12! ha! Fooled her! LOL!

Okay, so my bone scan was inconclusive so now, I have to get an MRI. That is really all the news I have for now. The scan is next Saturday (the 14th)... so, I'll hopefully know more the 16th or something. Although, I did have a dream about having to have more testing... so, if I have another dream, I'll let you know lol... Well, I think it is time for the pond! It is awfully muggy today! CIAO!

Summer Time!

Well... it isn't quite summer yet (technically), but it sure FEELS like summer here in Michigan.

My dad planted the garden this weekend, and Mark and I got a few more plants to put in the other gardens. We got cherry tomatoes, STEVIA, rosemary, basil, & some other herb... I can't think of it right now... oh well

We let the dogs out to play too! Tex is my little swimmer!

WOW! I just found out my computer has the coolest program EVER! Windows Movie Maker! Enjoy my first CREATION! I played with a bunch of the different editing things so bear with me lol...

ankle update

Okay so I went to the doc on Tuesday for an x-ray... no break... but he found a cyst or something... so today I had to go get a bone scan... blah! I AM RADIOACTIVE! haha...

If you've never had a bone scan, I'll fill you in. They inject you with some radioactive shit and you let your bones absorb it for 2 hours. Then after 2 hours you come back to get the actual scan. During the scan you have to keep completely still. It sucks! LOL.. My ankle kept twitching... I was like crap... stay still! Although it is only 3 minutes per angle, you try keeping you ankle completely still for 3 minutes... It's hard! 7 years ago I had a bone scan on my back, that was much worse... I had to keep my ENTIRE body still for an hour! and they didn't tell me I had to stay that way for an hour... definitely was uncomfortable... BLAH!

The doc says since I've sprained my ankle so many times, I pretty much have no ligaments left in my ankle... didn't realize that was possible... says I cannot wear flip-flops anymore! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :( That was the saddest part! LOL..

So, I'll let you all know what the bone scan reveals when I find out... STAY TUNED!

I'm sure everyone has seen that picture before, but it's cute, and I needed an update. We haven't been up to much lately... ummm since Mark's bday, we have really just been working... trying to make money to save (although I don't seem to know how to save... LOL) I guess I get that from my mother! haha.... ANYWAYS... I was supposed to work all weekend + (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds) but somehow I strained my ankle... so I was off Sunday and am off today... blah! I didn't even roll it this time! I think the doctor is wrong though... It doesn't feel like a strain/sprain... and the pain keeps getting worse... the doc said to come back if it doesn't get better by tuesday for xrays... so maybe ill be stuck in a cast lol... i don't do crutches though so that wouldn't work lol... well... I guess that's all we have for you guys... sorry no cute baby talk videos lol I'm sure we could make drunk talk videos... or Mark talking in his sleep videos! and you have to guess what is being said! haha that would be funny... CIAO

Vacation Time... Again

Well, the ENTIRE Kohler Family is headed to the U.P. I'll have to take many pictures of our trip as we drive the 5 hours to get there. I better not forget my camera charger!

It's 5:30 am, and I'm still debating if I'm going to sleep now for a couple hours or not... What do you think? LOL

Yesterday was our 4 year anniversary! woo hoo! lol And we get the weekend to celebrate... well, with many others... It should be fun!

We'll probably get to meet distant family members I've never met. Fun fun! LOL I bet we can drive from here to Newberry with only ONE tank of gas. How 'bout them apples? LOL If you cannot tell, it is past my bed time and I'm goofy and spacey when that happens! HA! NEwho...

Poor Mark had the stomach flu on Monday ick! I had to play doctor, which reminded me that I still want to be one... too bad I hate biology... LOL He lost his voice over Tuesday and Wednesday from coughing... He is getting better though. I am good at taking care of him! Or at least I like to think so! He is better at taking care of me though, since I'm usually the sick one. LOL... anyways... enough about my life... this is on a need to know basis... and you don't need to know anymore... cause if I told you, I would have to kill you (imagine I'm saying that with a spooky, evil accent) hahaha! Blog Makeover

The blog was in need of a makeover. I hope you like it. LOL! I've updated the links to everyone else's blogs. They are now listed with when the blog was last updated, in order of most recent.
I'm in need of a makeover as well, haha... It's time for a new hair color! I'll add a new poll to see which color I should choose.

Hmmm... as far as Michelle and Mark are concerned, we've not been doing much lately, except playing our Wii. If you don't have one, we suggest you go get one now; run, don't walk! They are SO much fun! AND a workout! Our arms/shoulders are getting so sore! I have trouble lifting the ice bucket at work! LOL... I added a prettier, count UP of M&M. Only 6 days until our 4 year anniversary! hmmm... wondering what I'll get? lol

We have a vacation coming soon. We are traveling to Newberry! (For those of you that are clueless, that is a city in the UP.) Many of the Kohler family lives up there. We, and MANY MANY others, will be celebrating my Great Aunt Pat and Great Uncle Boyd's 50th Wedding Anniversary! Isn't that nice! I hope it's not too cold! LOL! The drive is +/- 5 hours!! We are HOPING that the Mac Bridge isn't closed for winds! Although, I had a dream that there were 100MPH winds (obviously an exaggeration, but my dreams have been known to be prophetic!)

Good Job Dee on the article for the Tri-County! I will clip it and scrapbook it--as soon as my Cricut arrives... I need to get back into scrapbooking! Who's with me!? LOL!

We should plan a Wii party when Tracy comes home. We can see who is the better bowler! LOL (only on Wii though, I'm AWFUL in real life!) I almost bowled a perfect game, even after I had a FEW to drink! HAHA! Do we have anything planned, yet? I know it's only April, but Mark and I have jobs that like to know in ADVANCE which days off we would like. LOL! Tracy and I have to celebrate our 21st birthdays TOGETHER! Tiaras and ALL! HA! Anyone else can pretend to just be 21 too!

For those of you who didn't know, we stopped in IN to visit with Mark's parents on our way there and on our way back. Our visit on the way back was shorter, mostly just "hi" and "bye," so we could have time to go try our luck at the casino. My mom and I aren't very lucky, but Mark was! He put $20 into a machine and turned it in to $360! woo hoo! We even have some of it left! lol I won like $2.20! lol I could have won more if I felt like figureing out how to play the game lol I think Mark won another $0.50 and something else. We came out on top, so that is all that counts! So, when you need some luck, just rub Mark for Good Luck! LOL We may try out our luck in Mt. Pleasant next! Then, VEGAS here we come lol yeah right! Kay, I think I have at least one more blog about Chicago. But I'll let you guys catch up on the three I just posted.

Blue Man

Okay, if you have never seen the blue man, or if you were like me, a skeptic, I have some words for you, GO SEE IT NOW (or as soon as you can)!!!! It is the best performance ever! Funny, Interactive, All around GREAT time! Pictures aren't allowed during the performance, so you are going to have to just go see it for yourselves! Here are the pics I did get, which was in the lobby after the show. I took a picture over the crowd of one of them, then as we were exiting I got a picture with another of them. There is a third guy, but I didn't get his picture. It was a little--a LOT-- chaotic trying to get out of there! Kay, have you bought your tickets yet?
